小さなクリスマスツリー

My kid asked for this every night for a week—the part where the tree gets its wish really makes them giggle. The pages have a nice weight to them, not too flimsy.

My daughter was so captivated by the tale of the little tree learning to love its sharp needles that she asked me to read it three nights in a row. The story's simple lesson about self-acceptance feels perfect for the holiday season.

The illustrations are warm and cozy, and the story about accepting your own needles actually sparked a good conversation with my five-year-old. The only downside is the binding feels a bit stiff for such a thin book.
