My kid can't stop flipping through the pages to look at all the weird and wonderful sea creatures—the reef fish illustrations are so detailed and colorful.

My kids keep asking to read about the coral reefs every night, and I love that Lessac's text is packed with real facts rather than just pretty pictures. It's a touch longer than our usual picture books, but that just means we get to explore more of the coast together.

The illustrations are so vivid and detailed that even I find myself lingering on each page. My only small wish is that the text went a bit deeper into the creatures' behaviors, but it's a gorgeous introduction to reef life for young readers.
