Londji The Whale & The Fish Game

My toddler is usually a rule-follower, but the open-ended nature of this set lets her just arrange fish however she wants, which is surprisingly calming for both of us. The wooden pieces have a nice weight and the illustrations are charming enough that I don't mind leaving them out on the coffee tab

My four-year-old has spent hours arranging the fish cards into different patterns, and I love that there are no right or wrong ways to play. The thick cardboard pieces are holding up well to daily use.

The open-ended nature of this game is such a relief — my kids just dove in and started making their own patterns without me having to explain a single rule. The wooden pieces are beautifully smooth and satisfying to hold, and it’s been great watching their creativity unfold.
