Fagus (Dieters) DIY Two Small Gliders

My 7-year-old put these together in about 20 minutes and was thrilled when they actually flew across the room. The pre-cut balsa parts fit together cleanly, no trimming needed.

The balsa wood is surprisingly sturdy for such a lightweight kit, and my eight-year-old managed to assemble both gliders in an afternoon. Watching them actually fly across the backyard made all the careful gluing worth it.

My kid loved sanding the edges of the balsa wood before gluing, and the gliders actually flew straight across the living room. Great way to practice patience without being frustrating.
