Der Zauberlehrling

The way Oliver’s boredom leads him to meddle with spells he’s not ready for felt so real—I could almost feel the chaos building. The descriptions of nature magic are beautifully woven into the story.

The way Oliver’s boredom leads him to experiment with spells felt so relatable—I’ve definitely let curiosity get the better of me before. The descriptions of the nature magic are vivid enough that I could picture the forest scenes perfectly.

I really enjoyed how the story balances Oliver’s magical lessons with his struggle to focus on chores—it felt relatable. The chapters are short enough to keep a younger reader engaged without losing momentum. Only wish the illustrations were a bit more frequent.
