The autumn wind theme is so well captured in the illustrations—my kids love spotting Mr. Squirrel on each page. It's become our favorite bedtime story for this season.

My toddler insists on reading this every night since we got it—the way the story captures the feeling of autumn leaves swirling is spot on. The illustrations are so cozy and detailed that we keep noticing something new.

The way the wind almost sweeps the little acorn children right off the page is so playful. My kids were completely absorbed in Mr Squirrel’s rescue mission, and the autumn setting feels so cozy for bedtime reading.
