My kids loved how Brown Falcon outsmarts the crocodile—the storytelling is simple but powerful. The cultural notes at the end added a lot of context for us as parents.

The illustrations really bring the Bunuba landscape to life, and my daughter was captivated by how Brown Falcon outsmarts the crocodile. It’s rare to find a kids’ book that teaches sharing through traditional storytelling like this one does.

I’ve been reading this to my kids at bedtime, and the way the story brings the Bunuba language and culture to life is beautiful. The illustrations really capture the greedy crocodile and the clever falcon.
