الملا الخجول

I bought this for my daughter's bedtime reading, and the description of the marla hiding under the bush had her asking questions about desert animals. The story's gentle tension kept her engaged without being scary.

My nephew was captivated by the little marla hiding under the bush—he keeps asking if the "danger" is gone. The desert setting feels so unique for a children's book, and the simple story held his attention from start to finish.

My four-year-old keeps asking to read about Warla the shy marla every night—she loves the part where the little marsupial hears a sound and hides. The illustrations of the Australian desert really bring the spinifex grass to life.
