Picked it up on a whim and was playing a simple tune within five minutes—the color coding on the keys makes it almost impossible to hit a wrong note. My six-year-old daughter figured it out just as fast as I did, which says a lot about how intuitive the design really is.

I was honestly skeptical a tongue drum could be this intuitive, but the color and number coding made picking out melodies feel almost magical. My six-year-old played a recognizable tune within minutes.

I was surprised how quickly I could play a simple tune without any music background. The numbered keys are intuitive enough that my kid picked it up in minutes. Sound quality is good for the price, though I wish the included mallets were a bit sturdier.
