I was a bit worried the metal pan would be flimsy, but it's surprisingly sturdy and the horse-hair bristles pick up crumbs way better than our full-size one. My son actually fights me for a turn with it now.

My daughter insists on sweeping the kitchen floor every night now, and the wooden handle fits her small hands perfectly. The metal pan is sturdy enough that I don't worry about it bending, and the horsehair bristles pick up crumbs without scratching the tiles.

My 4-year-old loves that the horsehair bristles actually sweep up crumbs instead of just pushing them around. The metal dustpan feels sturdy enough to survive regular playtime use.
